'Near the Bear' Anchorage Exhibit thru July 4, 2016

April 17, 2016

'The name “Arctic” comes from a Greek word meaning “near the bear.” The Arctic region is in the northernmost part of Earth. This family-friendly exhibition explores the Arctic environment through art and science, with exploration into the Arctic for all ages. Featuring the animals that make their home in the Arctic and the tools used to travel and thrive in an extreme environment, Near the Bear features artwork from the Anchorage Museum’s collection and hands-on art activities and experiences.

THIS EXHIBIT IS A PART OF THE ANCHORAGE MUSEUM'S POLAR LAB.'
